Leaving this axis and heading north one eventually reaches the meadows of Pertouli surrounded by mountains. To the north rise the peaks of Neraidha followed by Trigia and to the south and Loupata, Marosa and Avgo while to the east this mountainous region merges with Koziaka, an elongated limestone mass that falls sharply towards the Thessalian plain.
